A special note about Carolyn's wings

For the past six years, Jose Manchola has honored loved ones, raised funds for cancer research and awareness, and united the beer community for one special night: Melesa’s Wings. With great honor and respect, Alternate Ending will host this incredible event once again in October 2024.

Before we do, we are proud to release a special stout in memory of Carolyn Ngbokoli, a dear friend who lost her battle with breast cancer eight years ago this October. Carolyn was an inspiration to all who knew her. She lived life to the fullest, and from the moment she was diagnosed, she never let the cancer define her. She appreciated life’s simple gifts, and loved to spend time in the Catskill Mountains with the love of her life John, their two darling boys, and friends who were family. Carolyn lives on in all of our hearts, and in the beautiful lilac tree at the top of a mountain on dingle hill…

Carolyn’s Wings is a Rye Imperial Stout inspired by some of Carolyn’s favorite flavors. We’ve incorporated coffee donated by Offshore Coffee and fresh cinnamon to enhance the subtle spice of the rye barrels. We will also be donating $1,500 to the Melesa’s Wings Memorial Sloan Kettering Fundraiser.
